because she wants to know the meaning of my unusual name. Well here it is.
My name is: LaTara is a hard one to define, but I usually just go with “Tara” to discover its meaning. I was named by my sister who gave me the name “LaTara Venise”: LaTara was a little girl she played with and “Venise” is a derivative of my sister’s middle name “Denise” However today I did actually find LaTara.
It means: a rocky hill: a form of Tara which means “tower”
Origin: Irish, African American

I was tagged by Latara, my name is Michelle but my friends call me Amirah. The name Michelle was given to me at birth. It was the female version of my father’s name, Mitchell. It originatesfrom the French name Michael, Mikchayel in Hebrew, meaning Who is like God. Not taking the initiative to discover where my birth name came from, I re-named myself Amirah, also from a Hebrew origin meaning gentle speaker.
