Vegan Family Living Turns 1
Written by LaTara Ham-Ying on January 13, 2008 at January 13th, 2008
LaTara Ham-Ying announces the one year anniversary of Vegan Family Living. In October of 2006, LaTara along with the help of two key people, Kelly McCausey and Roy Montero, developed the concept for Vegan Family Living.
With a strong subscriber list and support system in place, January 17, 2007 saw the official launch of a site created to bring Healthier Alternatives to Living. The response was great. The people were loving LaTara’s simple approach to vegan cooking and living and it was that approach that kept them coming and even so still today.
A year later, LaTara has decided that, according to the needs of the subscribers and visitors, Vegan Family Living will be all about the transitioning family. “It is my desire to provide simple solutions to vegan living with an emphasis on cooking. That seems to be the greatest need I hear from the people I correspond with,” LaTara Ham-Ying states. She also stresses the importances of helps families find ways to carve out time for one another. So she provides resources to help create and maintain a strong family bond.
On January 18, the Vegan Family Living podcast will be the center of the 1 year anniversary special. There will be give-a-ways, a very interesting round table discussion and more.

Hi,
I am very glad to have found this web site, since I’m still transitioning into a vegan life. I’d just signed up a few days ago, but this site, so far, seems very interesting to me. I’m looking forward to the years to come.

Shalom! Happy anniversary Vegan Family Living! LaTara you have managed to make what may seem like a daunting task (learning the vegan lifestyle and THEN transitioning your family) actually manageable and even FUN! I enjoyed the free recipes and found myself looking forward to them. The encouragement you give to those of us who are in the position of seeing to it that our families health is safeguarded against the constant onslaught of advertising and peer pressure is invaluable. Please continue on this path as there are many (like me) who are being awakened to the importance of the vegan lifestyle.
