Vegan Meal Planning Tips
Powered by MaxBlogPress

Well I have been in LA for a week now and I am not too thrilled with the prices of the organic and vegan products.

In Chicago I can take $75 and feed my family for a week. Here is is costing me about $20-30 more. I have yet to locate Soy Garden or Earth Balance butter for under $3.50. In Chicago we pay about $2.59 for a container of the vegan butter.

The price of soy milk is outrageous and you can forget about the vegan ice cream. My family uses only olive and coconut oils. They are expensive anywhere you go, but here they are $2-4 more on average.

What is a girl to do?

I am searching for a reasonable spot to shop. Food 4 Less is not bad, although my normal brand of soy milk is way to high, they do carry their own brand that is under $3. Not bad! Ralphs and Albertson’s was ridiculous.

I will keep searching for a reasonable spot and fill you in. If anyone is from Los Angeles and you know of a good shopping spot for vegan products, please let me know. I am here for 3 more weeks.
