Lavender Mint Lemonade

A Little History
Lavender is a very calming and safe herb. It is known to help you sleep. It is primarily used for insominia, anxiety, depression, and mode disturbances. Lavender is also very tasty.
Mint is antifungal, has the ability to settle a nervous stomach and is thought to help with asthma and allergy symptoms. The most common use for mint is for brewing teas.
Lemonade is an American summer favorite and with this twist of limes, lavender, and mint it is sure to make your family smile.
Ingredients:
4 lemons
2 limes
1 tbls lavender buds
2 to 4 sprigs of fresh mint leaves depends on how minty you want it.
1 or 2 cups organic sweetener like sucanat (You can add or delete sugar according to your taste.)
2 quarts water
Directions:
Juice lemons and limes. Place juice in container and add water and sugar. Stir. In a tea diffuser, add the lavender buds and place the diffuser in the container with the juice mixture. Refrigerate for two hours or place in sun for ultimate lavender flavor.
Variations:
- Add 1 tbls of cranberry juice concentrate
- Try a bit of ginger in your lemonade
- Boil the lavender buds in the 2 quarts of water, drain and add citrus juice and sugar. Refrigerate for 2 hours
