Honey Teriaki Tofu

I wanted something sweet and tangy one night during my visit to Los Angeles. That plus is was almost time for me to get back to Chicago so I had to cook up as much food as possible before heading back.

There was one pack of extra firm tofu in the fridge and some KC Masterpiece Honey Teriaki Sauce as well. I looked for some onions and found bell pepper and garlic as well. My hands got to moving and the knife started chopping.

Here is what I came up with….Delicious!

Ingredients:

1 14 oz extra firm or firm tofu
1 medium onion chopped
1 small bell pepper chopped
3 pearl garlic chopped
2 tbls coconut or sesame oil
1 tbls garlic powder
1/4 cup KC Masterpiece honey teriaki sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp black or cayenne pepper

Directions:

Cut tofu into small bitesize squares. Heat medium frying pan and add tofu with nothing else. Allow water in tofu to cook out for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add oil and garlic and stir. Add onions, garlic, bell peppers, and about 1/2 tsp of pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add honey teriaki sauce and water. Mix well. Allow dish to cook on low to medium heat for 10 minutes.

Eat this dish with brown rice, salad, or any fresh cooked vegetables.

Enjoy!
