Vegan News and Resources

Today instead of writing a long post about Earth Day, I thought it would be fun to let you hop the net and see what some of my friends are saying or doing for Earth Day. I am also sharing information about some really cool resources.

The Household Helper, Cara Mirabella is talking about Earth Day Resolutions. Her number one suggestion is to simply make the change and I couldn’t agree more. Over at the Skimbaco blog, she is sharing 10 Easy Ways to Save the Earth.

I have invited Liz Stark from the Veggie Girl Blog to help me in answering questions. I get so many and feel horrible when I can’t get to them. When I met Liz and heard how knowledgeable she about vegan living, I just knew I had to have her be a part of my Vegan Family Living Team of Experts.

With the addition of Liz I have decided to start a New Meme here at Vegan Family Living. So Wednesdays will now be Wondering Vegan Wednesdays where we will answer your questions about the vegan living journey.
I do plan on bringing more experts on board in hopes of bringing you quality content and information for your vegan journey.

LaTara Ham-Ying announces the one year anniversary of Vegan Family Living. In October of 2006, LaTara along with the help of two key people, Kelly McCausey and Roy Montero, developed the concept for Vegan Family Living.

With a strong subscriber list and support system in place, January 17, 2007 saw the official launch of a site created to bring Healthier Alternatives to Living. The response was great. The people were loving LaTara’s simple approach to vegan cooking and living and it was that approach that kept them coming and even so still today.

This week you can hear more about Vegan Family Living and Me! I am now a regular on the Family Foodies Podcast. Of course I will be covering vegan eating and living.

This week you can hear my good friend, Shelley Valasek grill me about being a vegan.

Listen in to this week’s Family Foodies Show and then come back here to discuss the show.

Summer time is the time for attending family reunions, weddings, outings, and other gatherings where food will be a star. When you are a vegan it is important to know ahead of time what to expect where food is concerned, so that you are not shocked when you arrive.
