New feature for this fall
Greetings, everyone!
Lately, we have been working to focus our efforts on the specifics of healthy living, in general. As the name Vegan Family Living implies, we will also begin to address our ongoing transition of lifestyle as we learn more about healthy living. Even though the vegan diet has become a cornerstone of our household, we are discovering that healthy living involves so much more than just what we eat. In fact, most of us spend only 8% or less of our day for mealtimes. That combined with the roughly 63% used for sleeping, working, and commuting, leaves us 29% of our day in which we can focus on choosing “healthy alternatives” that would benefit “the rest of our life”.

Green Smoothie Power For You and Your Family
->
I have been Twittering about Green Smoothies for come months now and last week a few of us did the Green Smoothie Challenge. For my challenge I drank smoothies twice per day and only ate lunch. I also stayed away from take-out other than fresh salads from the grocers.
All that tweeting sparked the interest of many Twitterers and so I decided to post about the power of Green Smoothies for you and your family.

Where can I Find Vegan Foods in My Town?
There are many grocery stores that sell vegan foods. Major chains in
every town should have a selection. If you are a part of the lucky ones
who have a Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, or other health food stores then
you can definitely find many vegan foods. Other stores to purchase
vegan foods from that we are all familiar with are Target and WalMart.
Also note that there are many foods that are vegan and don’t say vegan.
So when you say “vegan foods” it carries a broad meaning. Of course
fruits and vegetables are vegan. You also have items like rice, pasta,
peanut butter, jelly, canned and dry beans, oatmeal, grits, cookies,
chips, breads, crackers, soups, and many other foods you find in the
grocery store.

The Vegan Meal Helper
Perhaps you stopped by looking for this week’s podcast, but it was not there. Don’t be upset; I have a good reason. REALLY!
For the past few months I have been going back and forth with the idea of starting a membership site. I said yes because of the opportunities for growth it would afford those who joined. I said no because I was just plain being a COWARD!
I kept saying it won’t work and that I can’t pull it off. Don’t you know that the worse enemy you have is the one staring you right in the mirror.
