Every now and then we get tagged on the internet. Guess who was tagged today.

What I am supposed to do is share 7 things about me that you might not know. So here goes:

1. When I was a teenager I was burned by radiator water. I lost a little of my hair and you can still see the mark if you look really close. I was in the tenth grade, very vain with long hair, and I though I was it. Let me tell you an incident like that will wake you up.

2. I wrote a rap based on the General Hospital rap from the 80s about my eighth grade class. They still talk about 30 plus years later.

3. I got lost in an amusement once. That was scary.

4. I am a die hard Mary J. Blige and Jill Scott fan. I resonate with them so much. Especially Mary because I can honestly say her story is my story.

5. I sang 1st alto for years only to discover in my thirties I am really a 2nd Soprano. I love to sing, especially gospel hymns.

6. I tend to read books like I drink water…. a lot. My favorite books are non-fictional or Christian Fiction.

7. I used to own a day care with 12 children ages 0 to 11. Good money but I don’t miss the headache of cleaning every night.

I read a lot too, although I’ve never heard it put that way, LOL! Christian fiction is my favorite…

Amazing, the things you find out about people you know. You have a story waiting to be put in a book for others to enjoy. I too love to read, I have three very tall book shelves and two short ones, filled, in my room where I work at home. I love a variety of books, especially African American Literature. I was amazed at how intelligent African American female writers were. Check out Francis Harper, Pauline E. Hopkins, or Katherine Davis Chapman Tillman. Fantastic Reading!
