Last week’s VFL Podcast was an interview with my husband Rupert. One thing he said made me ponder a few things. One of those things was my own ability to think outside of the box.

Let me explain what I mean by that.

When I started me transitioning journey to a vegan diet, I was stuck in the way I cooked. It made it difficult for me to make a meal, but I was who I was and I was very resistance to change.

Kosher food anyone? This week Sarah Zeldman of Solutions for Busy and Healthy Shabbat joins us this week to discuss kosher foods. It was a very enlightening conversation and one that every vegan needs to here. Are kosher and vegan synonymous? Is kosher organic? How can you tell if a can of beans is kosher and vegan?

Listen in to this week’s show for the answers. You just may be surprised?

When we go to the market we have to be savvy shoppers or else we will fall for the hype. That’s right you know the eye level trick. That is where they put the most expensive items at eye level and sucker you in. And they do this to both the kids and the adult. Don’t believe take a trip down your grocery isle and pay close attention to what loom before your eyes.

I have learned over the past few year how to avoid the “eye level” trick. This week I want to share 3 of the most important ways with you.

We did not receive questions for this week so I wanted to revisit an article that answers the question “How do I feed my vegan baby”.

Joana Duran, a Nurse Practitioner and expert on vegan children gave a rather in depth look into feeding the vegan baby in an article that you can read by clicking here.
