I never thought that 2007 would be such an eye opening year for me. But with 2008 only being 8 days away, I have been reflecting all day today and realized that this has been a year for me.
A year of revelation, realization, and so much more.
When I first started Vegan Family Living I had no idea which way it would go. I started with one idea and it turned into something totally different. My goal was to make this a true vegan family site, but somehow it morphed into a place for transitioning vegans to come and gain some knowledge about simple ways to cook vegan meals.
Of course I still believe that there is a lot here for the family but I can’t help but see the difference it is making transitioning vegans, and even those looking for more ways to add vegan meals into their diets.
I can only imagine what 2008 will bring for Vegan Family Living.
I made many changed over the last few months and it has been a great welcome for many who visit. I wasn’t sure how any of this would turn out when I started changing things but it has been a welcome pleasure; especially when I read the comments and get the emails I do.
I have a few goals for 2008 that I think will benefit the subscribers and visitors. Free group coaching sessions, low cost cooking tutorials, recipe e-books, vegan meal planning workshops….those are just a few things I will be bringing here to Vegan Family Living.
I have already added the Free 7 Day Vegan Meal Planning E-Course and the first week of January I am launching the Cooking Tutorials.
I never thought of myself as chef but I do know that I am a darn good cook and I love sharing my knowledge with others. I am going to be taking more classes and reading more books to help me because you can never stop learning. When you feel that you have arrived and no longer need to learn, then you have truly taken a route that will lead to nowhere fast. So I am always learning, growing, and sharing with others.
I have always lived my life like that. That’s how my momma and daddy raised me. Never keep it all to yourself.
Vegan Family Living has helped me to grow as cook and I love that fact. I am very excited to be able to go out into the Chicago area and share my cooking style with others. I love being able to try new recipes, and adopt styles of cooking that I would have never touched before.
WOW! That sums it up for me.
Every year I have a motto and a song I live by. 2007 was “Glimpses of Heaven in 2007″ and I saw many blessings as a result of just resting in the faith I have and knowing that it will all work out. My song was “Reflections (I Remember)” by Mary J. Blige - my personal songtress although she does not know that yet.
LaTara’s 2008 motto is “Removing Negative Weight” and my song is “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige. The weight is not just on my body but anything in my life that needs to be removed because it is weighing me down in some way or another.
I can’t wait to see what happens in 2008!
